Have you been preparing for hours on end for an important presentation, a concert, a competition or a race? Whatever kind of performance it might be, when the moment comes, and all eyes are on you, does it feel like you are not performing at your full potential?
Let me reassure you. There is nothing wrong with you!
It has nothing to do with your abilities or talent. It is about your mindset and how you approach the challenge.
For over 30 years I have been living life in the ‘hot seat’, holding leading positions in world class orchestras, performing live on TV and radio with thousands of people watching and listening. This rich background of experience paired with an in-depth knowledge of business and performance coaching, have given me an understanding of how to deal with extreme situations.
As your coach I can help you to find your optimal mind-set to perform at the best of your abilities. I will support you in finding your personal solutions to become the best version of yourself.
Whether you are already well-established in your profession, or have only recently embarked on your journey, all you need to bring to the coaching process is the desire for positive change and personal development.
What is Performance Coaching?
Unlike mentoring, training or consultancy, performance coaching is a process of:
How I can support you
The coaching I offer provides an opportunity for you to identify specific problems or general aspects of your performance you would like to improve. It gives you the chance to define your goals to achieve the desired improvements and it can help you to unveil limiting assumptions and barriers that might stop you from reaching your objectives.
By using effective coaching tools and questions I will raise your self-awareness and will challenge your thinking process. The supportive environment will enable you to think for yourself.
The coaching is evidence based, drawing on well-established theories of psychology and psychoanalysis. I am an Associate Certified Coach, accredited by the International Coaching Federation, and the coaching I provide is in line with the ICF code of ethics and competencies .
All sessions will be tailored according to your needs.
Individual and Group Coaching
The aspects of individual performance that we can look at might include dealing with performance anxiety, maximising performance quality under pressure, resilience and persistence in difficult times, motivation, decision making or managing responsibilities and expectations.
Coaching can also cover aspects of team performance such as group dynamics, leadership, interpersonal skills and communication.
Additionally to individual and team coaching I also offer presentations and motivational talks.
I am a classically trained musician who has held leading positions in world class orchestras in the UK and abroad over the last 30 years. I have also worked regularly as a soloist and in smaller ensembles.
My expertise is in high level, high pressure performance and managerial leadership, team building and communication.
The coaching style I provide is influenced by my artistic background and brings new creative aspects to the process.
In 2020 I completed a Business and Personal Coaching course with Barefoot Coaching Ltd and the University of Chester, and received my accreditation as Associate Certified Coach by the International Coaching Federation in 2021.
